TSUYOSHI YAMAGUCHI

(Head of Jury)

 

 A film producer.  After entering Waseda University, he was involved in the founding of the Waseda Mystery Club. After graduation, he joined Nippon Television Network Corporation.

 He has worked on numerous TV dramas. He is a legendary producer who has worked almost consistently on NTV's Tuesday night 9:00 p.m. drama slot and has created many legendary entertainment action series such as "Detective Story" and "Pro Hunter".

 He is also known as the producer of "Tuesday Suspense" and "Nami no Bon", for which he won the Grand Prize for Arts from the Agency for Cultural Affairs. In recent years, he has also devoted himself to fostering young talent.

HIDESHI MIYAJIMA

(Executive Producer)

 

 Born in Tsukiji, Tokyo. Graduated from Keio University. Joined Shochiku Co., Ltd. as a film producer.

 Later, he became an independent producer. Produced numerous high-profile and hit movies. While producing films and stage productions,

 He is also active as a film commentator, writer, lecturer, and professor at Bunka Gakuen University and its graduate school.

His works include "Amagi-Goe", "Gyoun-no-Mure", "Take Me Skiing", "The Kimura Family", "Faces", "Pistol Opera", "Mibugishiden" (Japan Academy Award for Best Picture), "CASSHERN", "Heaven's Bookstore - Koihi", "Asura Castle Eyes", "Koishite Vampire", etc.

 He is also eager to produce co-productions with Asian countries, such as "Spring Days Passing" (directed by Ho Jin-ho) in Korea, "Coffee Time" (directed by Hsiao-hsien Hou) in Taiwan, and "ONPAKU" (directed by Shugo Fujii) in Hong Kong.

SHUGO FUJII

 A film maker in Japan. His style is suspense and horror that always based on fear of human mind and social issues.

 

 “RED LINE CROSSING” had long run hit at the theaters and was extended for three month and has been selected as the year’s best film by the most famous movie magazine in Japan known as KINEMA JUNPO. In a film “MIMICRY FREAKS”, he became the first Japanese to win the Grand Prix in the Asian Film Award at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, one of the three major fantastic film festivals in the world.

 

 In recent years, he has been active internationally,. “FRANTIC” had a theatrical release in the United States and he also directed the Hong Kong film “ONPAKU”, starring by Hong Kong star Josie Ho.

YUKARI UMEZAWA

(PJISFF Producer/ advertising manager)

 

 She began her career as the manager of Rokusuke Ei, the famous lyricist of the world famous song "Sukiyaki". Later, she joined film production and has participated in many films. In recent years, she has worked on many films in collaboration with director Shugo Fujii.

 His main activities are distribution of foreign and Japanese films. He is a member of the board of directors of 108MEDIA, which has chapters in eight locations around the world, and also engages in purchasing and sales at overseas film festivals and other events, aiming to collaborate with the global film market.

AYUMU OKUMOTO

(Event Manager)

 

 He leads the production company CFA while working as an actor. He is also the producer of the theatrical film "FRANTIC" and the distribution film "The Sky and the Mask that Looked Up".
