Story

The film is a tribute to Leonid Nikolaievich Andreyev, a novelist and short-story writer who is considered to be a father of Expressionism in the Silver Age literary period.

"CRIMSON SILENCE" is a modern take on his novella "The Seven Who Were Hanged" (1908). An emotional story that follows a group of young failed revolutionary assassins and how each of them deals with his fate in his own way.

Story: An elderly woman, Toshie, who celebrates her birthday in solitude, requests the purchase of a memorable Japanese doll. Tsukumo visits for a business trip to assess the doll, but gets soaked by water from her hose. They stay together until their clothes dry, and Tsukumo sees her late mother and Toshie, and Toshie sees her late son and Tsukumo. When Toshie goes out to buy a snack, an unexpected visitor appears. Tsukumo is mistaken for Toshie's son and is confronted with a certain truth. ......

This is a story of reopening (meeting) that begins with the closing of the store, depicted in a fixed-point, one-cut style.
